Business Services

NACUE is delighted to offer the following services to businesses, education institutions, charities and other organisations:

  • Bespoke Programme Development

NACUE is able to work with organisations both large and small to conceptualise, design and execute bespoke programmes. From one-day seminars, weekend conferences and year-round training programmes; to start-up programmes, investment funds and national campaigns, NACUE can support you from start to finish.

    Past bespoke programmes include:

    • Lloyds TSB Enterprise Awards
In September 2011 NACUE partnered with Lloyds TSB to design and execute the Lloyds TSB Enterprise Awards – a national awards scheme that identifies and celebrates the best student and graduate entrepreneurs, rewarding them with cash prizes up to £50,000 and enhanced mentoring. Designed jointly by NACUE and Lloyds TSB staff, the Awards utilise NACUE-managed social media channels and NACUE’s unique network of enterprise societies, university staff, incubators and strategic partners to reach student and graduate entrepreneurs. NACUE manages the competition process and is responsible for delivering 8 regional heats and one national final, each featuring a pitching competition and Awards ceremony.
    • Tata Social Enterprise Conference
NACUE has partnered with Tata to design and execute the Tata Social Enterprise Conference – a two day conference to run in London in December 2011. TataSEC aims to convene over 200 students and graduates to showcase and inspire a new generation of social entrepreneurs. Conference streams include ‘New Ideas’, ‘New Skills’ and ‘New Solutions’, and the weekend features a Social Innovation Hack, giving delegates the chance to meet like-minded delegates, discuss pressing social and environmental problems and brainstorm disruptive business models.
    • Microsoft Professional Developers Conference
In November 2010, NACUE partnered with Microsoft UK to identify and support eight of our enterprise societies in hosting a live streaming of the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference – the annual event held in Redmond, USA for students, developers and architects to gather and hear about the next generation of Microsoft technologies. NACUE, Microsoft and the enterprise societies collaborated to secure auditoriums in each university, establish high-definition video streams from the conference, and attract a total of over 1000 students and staff for the streaming. At each university Microsoft UK staff addressed the assembled audience before and after the streaming, and ran a raffle in which a new Windows Mobile 7 phone was given away to one lucky audience member.
    • Microsoft Enterprise Society Sponsorship Programme
In Autumn 2009, NACUE partnered with Microsoft UK to develop a programme to support support enterprise societies in raising awareness of the student-focused initiatives offered by Microsoft including Dreamspark, the Imagine Cup and StudentZine. 16 NACUE enterprise societies received a total of £24,000 in sponsorship and benefited from Microsoft promotional materials as well as access to Microsoft staff for workshops and events.
