College & University Services

NACUE is a champion of entrepreneurial Britain, working to invigorate entrepreneurship within colleges and universities by accelerating the dynamic growth of student enterprise societies and strengthening their role in their institutions’ wider strategy.

NACUE provides student enterprise societies and staff with unrivaled mentoring, guidance and resources to achieve this goal. To compliment and extend this support, NACUE is delighted to offer colleges and universities the following services:

  • Custom On-site Enterprise Society Training

Enterprise societies of all ages and maturity levels can benefit from tailored, one-to-one training, mentoring and guidance. NACUE is able to work with students and staff to customise half-day or full-day packages that cover topics including:

Society conception, formation & launch planning; governance & succession; leadership & management; sponsorship & fundraising; relations, diplomacy & partnerships; marketing, branding & PR; event & programme development; innovation in enterprise societies; operations & digital solutions; society development, diversification & expansion.

  • Design of Student-Centred Enterprise Strategies

Enterprise societies play a critical role in their wider university enterprise ecosystem, however they can face significant challenges around collaboration, knowledge sharing and managing overall relationships with university staff. Through lack of regular contact and short-term planning between societies and all relevant staff, many opportunities are missed that could have led to much stronger relationships and significantly higher impact of programmes.

To remedy these challenges, NACUE is able to deliver on-site Enterprise Strategy Workshops, facilitate Enterprise Forums, and support institutions with the conceptualisation and writing of strategic documents.

  • Independent Enterprise Audits

NACUE is able to offer an external audit of all enterprise activities across an institution, through interviews and focus groups hosted on-campus over one to two days. The resulting report outlines the state of enterprise within the institution and recommends actions that can be taken to enhance the institutions’ enterprising and entrepreneurial credentials. NACUE Enterprise Audits map institutions’ enterprise policies, programmes and activities against the global best practices and recognised frameworks of innovative and entrepreneurial institutions.

Past Audits have helped staff identify enterprise activity taking place across the institution; evaluate the outcomes of funded projects; track the development and outputs of new Enterprise Centres; and gain SMT buy-in for further strategic development, programme development and pilot projects.
