Student Enterprise Survey

Our additional products and services are aligned with practical learning concepts, enabling learners to apply their knowledge to a practical situations to challenge their knowledge in a business scenario.

We understand the importance and need in developing front facing leaders and ensure our programmes are contributing to the requirements of annual student satisfaction surveys such as the National Student Survey (NSS), Destination of Leavers Higher Education Survey (DLHE) and Higher Education-Business and Community Interaction survey (HEBCI) in supporting the recognition which educational institutions rightly deserve.

The Student Enterprise Survey (SES) has been constructed, following a previous project with the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), to map an institutions offering in terms of enterprise and entrepreneurship from the perspective of both educators and students.

The survey is designed to capture the responses from a significant percentage of the student body to later provide evidence as to the understanding of current enterprise provisions within institutions. By taking account of the student voice, the institution can use this report as evidence of their impact of the enterprise services in detail, ensuring student experience and outputs are maximised.

The SES will provide an informative evaluation of an institutions offering, for the benefit of Senior Management, to support their strategic decision making process in terms of enterprise. It will enable your institutions to have a greater understating of your students needs and how you can further enhance their experience whilst at college or university. Carrying out such an in-depth diagnosis of the institutional strengths and weaknesses on enterprise, could lead to the definition of institutional priorities and targets.

Our evaluation will collectively gather information in relation to in-curricular, extra-curricular, infrastructure and community; however it can also collect any related material the institution desires. Note that the survey responses will be analysed independently, collated, interpreted and delivered back to the institution in the formation of an evaluation report, acting as a catalyst for change, improvement and enhancement across institutional campuses.

An optional ‘Advanced Survey’ can also be taken up, where NACUE staff will go on to create Focus Groups to understand more deeply the challenges of enterprise provisions and/ or respond to the conclusions from the standard report, to trail test potential solutions to the student groups, to add validity to the recommendations.
