Dana Khater is Principal at Creator Fund, and leads teams across Cambridge, London, and the North of England. She was most recently an investor at firstminute capital ($200M fund based in London) where she focused on pre-seed and seed deals in the UK & the U.S. Prior to that, Dana was a student founder and built her business Coterique when she was 19 and still an undergraduate student. Coterique is a drop shipping platform that allows customers to discover and shop emerging fashion brands. It currently has a global clientele base across 30 countries and has processed over $1M in sales.

Creator Fund is a student-focused VC fund. Backed by Founders Factory and Eric Schmidt’s Schmidt Futures, Creator Fund is a £1.6mm Fund investing in 10-15 companies a year with teams across 25 university campuses around the UK.

The session will feature one Creator Fund portfolio founder who will share their experience taking the leap and starting a company as a student. Dana will also share her experience transitioning from student founder to investor and what it's like getting into VC.
