Spryas

Spyras have developed paper-based sensors that can continuously monitor every breath and predict future abnormal respiratory rates ahead of time, allowing an early opportunity to intervene in a fast acting and fatal condition. Bringing the sepsis care pathway earlier would prevent patients being escalated into intensive care wards where the difference in treatment costs alone is £200m in the UK and $4.1bn in the US, not mentioning the longer term complications if the patient survives such as amputations, kidney failure and PTSD.We aim to make a difference with just a piece of paper.
