Maggie Chen - Girls in Charge
Maggie is a linguist and serial entrepreneur who launched her first business aged 19. Her academic background is in languages and recently graduated from her Master's degree at the University of Oxford. She runs two companies - one in fashion and one in education, as well as the non-profit organisation, Girls in Charge Initiative, and is visiting lecturer at the University of Chester. In 2018, she was named 4th most influential female student in the UK.
Girls in Charge Initiative is a non-profit helping female students build their confidence and entrepreneurial skills through games. The initiative works with societies at 10 universities to run their workshop series, including: Imperial, LSE, KCL, Oxford, and Manchester, and online events are attended by students from 30 universities. Girls in Charge strives to make entrepreneurship a real career option for female students in the UK.
